Los Angeles Voters Approve Measure M to Regulate the Marijuana Industry
Yesterday, Los Angeles voters overwhelmingly approved Measure M, a city-sponsored measure that gives city officials new tools to regulate the marijuana industry. The measure allows the city to repeal the current Proposition D ban on medical marijuana dispensaries and replace it with new rules for pot businesses. L.A. Election Early Results: Marijuana-Licensing Measure M Winning Big
In an early count of votes, Measure M, which would allow the Los Angeles City Council to license and regulate marijuana businesses, was winning big, nearly 77 percent in favor to 23 percent against. As of this report 8 percent of precincts were weighing in.
